The Outside the Box-project commissions questions.
FFT, the venue we are committed to is
looking for a dialogue with the city
Do /can we as
commissioned artist answer this question?
We can work with
these elements, a dialogue where question and answers have their own
logic:“play a role of investigators and dialogue creators”
play in the very space of
the geometry of the question and the geometry of the investigations and the geometry of the
dialogue, answers, etc...
act as
investigators
&
reflect on our own
position
play with framework
not bound by
utilitarian purposes
facilitate dialogue
with freedom to derail
objective character
that breaks down into passionate tangents
heiner muller from
brecht to shakespeare, looking for more interspace
mapping out already
existing dialogue attempts between FFT and city
break out of
instant communication format:
1st week interview
people, videotape them
2nd week edit that
3rd week screen
that together with other stuff:
Radio show format -
including dialogues with people there on issues, radio play and history of
performance in dusseldorf
Blue screen double
room space, with images from Ddorf and beyond, allowing for actors to enter and
take a part, to receive a portrait in the end
(“first” week is
extra btw, residency is between 10th and 23rd of March)
have different
people (actors in the city: politician, nurse, artist, shopkeeper, businessman)
do hamlet dialogue “to be or not to be”
with a prompter
work with linguist who
does conversation analysis (Lilla Magyari)
Chris Burden living
inside a gallery
squatting the first
floor of FFT
